Emir graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia and holds an LL.M degree from Maastricht University, majoring in Intellectual Property Law and Knowledge Management. He is a dispute resolution lawyer focusing on bankruptcy, mining and plantation, energy, employment, intellectual property, and shipping sectors. His practice area also covers franchise and anti-monopoly.
Emir has acquired broad regulatory knowledge in the area of intellectual property, including IP laws in the European Union and United States, giving him a global perspective when advising on Indonesian intellectual property law. He has also presented seminars and workshops and has written articles in several publications on franchising and bankruptcy regulations.
Emir is admitted to Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (Indonesian Bar Association) (PERADI). He speaks native Indonesian and fluent English.
